Directed by Sylvain Chomet
Some people say The Illusionist is an animation for adults. I think it's a movie for people who appreciate life, accept what comes to life, and live with their lives. There is no surging thoughts, and no sad feeling which just like the 2D graphic, as flat as it is. I felt calm when watched the movie. Yes, life is hard and things are not fair. However, you just need to go with it.
The Illusionist blurs the line between hardship in reality and magical world. No languages needed to link different individuals. Just move with the waves of life. To feel, to try and to face the coming matters. By the time to get a plan, you make a plan. By the time to make a decision, you make one. By the time to go for different directions, you choose one way.
No matter if you are feeling or not feeling the existence of the being, The Illusionist surly shows an example of a kind of lifestyles. I don't need to explain too much about this animation, which life sometimes tend to the same way in quiet. C'est la vie~~
